Last night we practiced our song, We Believe for a bit and then headed on over to Bro. Hancock's backyard for Nacho Libre and Nachos. It was a breezy night but so fun! Here are a couple of quick snapshots of the night.

For our activity this week we met at Willow Creek park and brushed up on our firestarting skills!

Bro. Delahunty was there to give pointers, we now know how to build a Teepee and Logcabin fire.

Savannah Spring was nice enough to volunteer to start the actual flames..thanks Savannah!

Girls Camp Fundraiser

This year, we are going to Girls Camp with just our ward. We wanted to have a successful fundraiser for the girls and make sure any future fundraiser would be a hit. The girls did a lot of preparation by going to Relief Society and Priesthood to announce the event. We went door-to-door to see if anyone wanted to buy tickets beforehand. We had a great response and were so excited for our Spaghetti Dinner. No one was prepared for the success we were going to have for the Bake Auction!! It was so great to see so many families come out and support us along with their generous donations for the bake auction.






We had the Bishop first be the Auctioneer. And then we had Hana Benson take over. She's got amazing Auctioneer Skills!

Personal Progress

Brittany decided to do a Temple Time Capsule night for Personal Progress. Special things were included in the time capsule like a list of all the attributes the girls want in a husband, the dresses they dream of, the colors for their wedding. A picture of the temple they want to be sealed in, a letter to their future husband, letter from their parents and the Bishop, and much much more.

 GENERAL YOUNG WOMEN BROAD CAST

The First Presidency invites all young women, their mothers, and YW leaders to participate on March 26. Broadcast will be aired at the Stake center at 6:00pm. If anyone needs a ride please contact your YW leaders.

Valentines

Last week the girls made Valentine's for the residents at the Nursing home. They did a great job, and we were able to deliver them tonight.

 We also decorated sugar cookies for our snack!

New Beginnings

A memorable night to begin the new year with New Beginnings. A special musical number, Daughter of a King, from the YW in the 10th and 5th ward. A solo part from Sierra Spring.
We really enjoyed hearing from Stacy Bills.

combined activity: gift baskets

Last night we put together gift baskets for some families in the ward as part of a service activity.

It was combined with the YM, overall the baskets turned out great- it was alot of fun putting them together and being able to work together to help others have a nice Christmas.  Afterwards we did a white elephant gift exchange!  There were some funny gifts!!
